Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend at spectacular MAPA shows.

On Mother’s Day weekend, Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) will present two spectacular shows of inspiring dance for the annual Spring Extravaganza Dance Concert at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center (The MACC) Castle Theater. The weekend’s performances on Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11, will feature 400 MAPA dancers, from adorable 3-year-old pre-ballet students to advanced teen and adult dancers of the MAPA Dance Ensemble.

Dancers will “strut their stuff “ in the toe-tapping, heel-stomping Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop Revue on Saturday at 7 p.m. On Sunday at 3 p.m., audiences will revel in the beauty of MAPA’s ballerinas presenting two Spanish ballets, Don Quixote and Carmen.

Tickets for one show are $14 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. For both shows, tickets are $22 for adults and $16 for keiki 12 and under. Tickets are available at The MACC Box Office. Call 242-SHOW.
