Surfing Goat Dairy owners Thomas and Eva Kafsack reported an 8 percent increase in revenue last quarter, after 23 consecutive quarters with double-digit growth since they started the business in 2002. The slower growth was mainly due to the cancellation of two major events (the annual Baby Shower and the Best of Upcountry); the discontinuation of two hotel customers; and the termination of the dairy’s horse boarding business. However, Surfing Goat gained new customers in the Mai Tai Lounge, Mala Wailea, Merriman’s in Kapalua, Milagros and Sands of Kahana Restaurant, as well as Ono Gelato, which produces Liliko‘i Ice Cream using the dairy’s Liliko‘i Quark.
