The Maui News - Hawai‘i’s flower and nursery industry reported a record $105.9 million in sales last year, an increase of 7.3 percent. Maui County totaled $12.4 million in sales, coming in third after the Big Island, which accounted for almost half of the total sales at $51.8 million; and O‘ahu, which was next at $38.4 million. Kaua‘i recorded $3.4 million. Potted palms were the biggest selling item, followed by potted dracaena, potted dendrobiums, cut anthuriums and sod.
