Maui County’s Office of Economic Development and the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce will present the small business awards dinner, “Core Hawaiian Values in Business,” on Friday, Oct. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. Winners will be presented awards in categories with businesses that have 10 or fewer employees and 11 to 50 employees. There will also be an award given out to the young (under age 40) small businessperson of the year, a lifetime achievement award, as well as an award given out to the small business with 50 or fewer employees that has been significant in supporting nonprofits.
