Maui Brewing Co. (MBC) continues to promote eco-friendliness with the latest innovation in packaging, as they will be using new and unique can top rings by PakTech. MBC is the first brewery to utilize this carrier advancement. PakTech is located in Eugene, OR and designs and manufactures packaging handles that provide a simple, low-waste alternative for bulk packaging. The nifty handles are “injection molded” using the recyclable plastic, HDPE. MBC used paperboard cartons in the beginning, but changed to cardboard wraps soon thereafter. Due to humidity, the wraps would always break so they decided to check out the PakTech’s new technology. A perfect fit!
