Lama Choyin Rangdrol to speak at The Sacred Garden of Maliko.On Saturday, Jan. 13, Lama Choyin Rangdrol, African American student of the abbot of Namgyal Monastery and recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for Community Service, will present a special series of talks honoring the message of equality and world peace envisioned by Dr. King and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
“May we not let our differences keep us from holding one another in utmost friendship, esteem, and equanimity,” said Lama Rangdrol.
Starting promptly at noon, “The Secret Approach to Lucid Dreaming of Awakened Consciousness (Mind)” will be offered for those interested in better understanding the experience of dreams, awakening, enlightenment, prophecy, dream healing, and altered states of dream consciousness.
At 2 p.m., “Transcending the Highest Yoga Tantra (Body)” introduces the path of transforming highest yoga and tantra experiences into the stream of enlightened awareness. This presentation is intended to help beginning and intermediate practitioners of yoga, tantra, divine principles, shamans, and believers in God.
“Living From The Heart: The Island Experience That Never Ends (Heart),” is a practical talk on healing the heart and liberating oneself into a state of mind that is eternally free from suffering. It begins at 4 p.m. and is open to friends, lovers and anyone seeking a peaceful approach to the difficulties of life.
Participants may attend one or more sessions during the day, and each session starts promptly at the times indicated at The Sacred Garden of Maliko, 460 Kaluanui Road in Makawao. (Kaluanui Road intersects with Baldwin Avenue two miles below Makawao Town.
