One of the world’s leading mystics to give free lecture on Maui.Tilak, a mystic from Sri Lanka, will return to Maui for the first time in three years for speaking engagements and private sessions from Thursday, Sept. 13 to the Sunday, Sept. 16. He will discuss healing techniques and principles, as well as his methodology for releasing childhood fears.
“I’ve seen Tilak make a presentation to an audience and watched as miracles happened to those attending just by virtue of being in the audience,” said Sue Linder, one of the event organizers from Lahaina. “It’s truly amazing.”
While attending college in 1964 as a medical student, Tilak was hit by a bus—an accident that left him in the hospital for several weeks. Friends visiting from his school while he was convalescing left his room with greatly improved memory powers and a deep passion for their studies. Word soon got out to other students and many started visiting him as well to experience his extraordinary powers.
Information about Tilak’s work was published in Sri Lankan newspapers, and he became known throughout the country for his mystical impacts on people—physically and psychologically.
As a result of the publicity, he soon was invited to speak in London and then the U.S., where he practiced many of his techniques and principles on the East Coast for several years acquiring a following of thousands.
“I have been to Maui several times before and always look forward to helping many on the island,” said Tilak.
Tilak will present a free lecture at the Maui Beach Hotel, 170 Ka‘ahumanu Ave. in Kahului at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, and at The Studio Maui in Ha‘iku on Friday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Contact Sue Linder at (808) 276-6259 for further information.
