The last person that should be giving advice is George (Big Oil) Bush. His judgment is poor at best. Look what has happened to this country under his watch. Secondly, the big military complex has made a fortune in this Iraq conflict, starting with his vice president. Bush, as well as most other members of our governing body, have failed to lead this country in just about every area. On his way out the door, he has the nerve to preach that we must drill in some of the most precious areas we have left—Alaska and off our coastlines.
The real cause of the outrageous oil prices are speculators. They have manipulated the oil prices to benefit a few, and are laughing all the way to the bank. Oil is a national resource. Why should a few benefit financially from what belongs to all of us? It is not in our national interest. Our country was built on the labor of the exploited as well as the innovative minds of many. Exploiting of innovation is the key to our future. A third political party wouldn’t hurt either.
