9th Life Hawai‘i, Maui’s only nonprofit, no-kill cat rescue sanctuary, wants to thank Kim Jones, owner of Tropical Trenz Hair Nail Salon in Kihei, for organizing a Paul Mitchell Cutathon to raise money so we can continue offering free or low-cost cat spay/neuter clinics and to also help equip the surgery room at our sanctuary. A total of four Paul Mitchell Salons participated in this Cutathon, and we would like to thank each and every one of them: Fierce Salon Day Spa (owner Kelly Kaniaupio) in Wailuku, Club Ha‘iku Salon in Ha‘iku (owner Amy Polsky) and Plush Beauty Lounge in Lahaina (owners Tiana Honorio and Danielle Young) and the stylists who donated their Sunday time to hold this event. Together they raised over $2,000, which will more than cover our costs to hold another spay/neuter clinic soon. This was a true example of the spirit of aloha.
These donations will enable us to continue to help Maui’s kitties and the people who are caring for them. 9th Life Hawai‘i believes the only compassionate method to control cat overpopulation is sterilization. And more importantly, it is guaranteed to work.
