In response to the letter written by Mr. Bode, I would like to say that my civil rights have been severely curtailed by the last eight years of right wing policies.
What a joke it is to say that the Democrats do not support working Americans. The Dems are the party of working Americans and want to deal with the major deficit caused by the Republicans. Why should corporations and oil companies have the most loopholes?
Obama considers wealth to be $250,000 a year and McCain thinks it is $5 million a year. That is elitism, just as the backgrounds of the two candidates show who was raised with the silver spoon and who was on scholarships with a single mother.
I am still flabbergasted by people who think our country is better off today, than the day Bush took office eight years ago. Let’s see—we had a surplus in the treasury, respect of the world and no Americans dying in a trillion dollar fiasco. And, let’s not forget twice as much at the gas pumps.
Who is really the party of change? The one that has caused the situation that we are suffering with right now, or the one that wants to come in and change it?
