Raymond Folen

As someone who is a frequent visitor to the legislature, I have had many opportunities to watch Sen. Roz Baker in action. I wish Roz represented my own district, as I can say unequivocally that she is a tremendous asset to the people of Maui. My overall assessment: Maui has someone who is sharp, articulate and genuine—a hard combination to find in politics nowadays. She is also a person of integrity: I’ve seen her warm and welcoming to those who have something heartfelt and honest to say, and I’ve seen her show the door to those with self-serving agendas. On health-related issues, she is the most coherent and knowledgeable speaker in the Senate. Maui, you are fortunate to have Sen. Baker. She is in a class of her own, head and shoulders above her inaccurate and mean-spirited opponent.
