Cleanup Makena-Pu‘u Olai State Park

SaveMakena.org, a program of Maui Tomorrow Foundation in partnership with Community Work Day, will conduct a wetlands cleanup on Sunday, July 27, at Makena-Pu‘u Olai State Park. Participants are asked to meet at the picnic tables on the beach at the north end in the first parking lot at Oneloa-Big Beach at 9 am.

The cleanup will include the removal of abandoned car parts and trash from the surrounding kiawe forest in preparation for wetlands restoration work to be done later this year. Gloves and trash bags will be provided; sun protection, long pants and shoes are recommended.
