Cut waste and use only the amount of water that you really need.Using less water in and around the house is a sure way to conserve Maui’s precious water resource. Do you have low-flow showerheads in each bathroom? A low-water-use toilet? How about your personal water-use habits? Do you turn off the water when you’re brushing teeth or shaving instead of letting it run down the drain? Do you only run full loads of laundry and, if you have a dishwasher, ensure that it’s full before you run it, too? When you wash the car, do you let the hose run all the time, or do you use a nozzle that stops the water flow when you’re not actively using it? Simply cutting waste and using only the amount of water that you really need will save many gallons.
