The Weekly Dish Jan. 13 & 20

January 27, 2012 - Trisha Smith
Catch up on Maui's delightful radio recipe of community and entertainment news, The Weekly Dish.

Hear some of our recent episodes of The Weekly Dish radio show! My co-host Shawn Michael (Groovy) and I cruise onto the island airwaves of KAOI1110Am & 96.7Fm each and every Friday morning after 7 a.m., and deliver a fun and informative talk variety show for Maui audiences to jump-start their weekends with. We feature the Maui Weekly newspaper, an arts and theatre segment called "Let's Talk More... " with the sweet and sophisticated Paul Janes-Brown, cover local small businesses and reveal what's going on in the music scene during our "Maui Music Notes" section.

Due to my recent hand injury, I really can't write a lot in this blog... I apologize. After the 6-cm slice heals on my right hand, I vow to keep up with this blog more often, and satisfy my listeners as soon as possible. (I realize some of you don't rise with the sun like The Weekly Dish crew does each Friday morning, so this blog on the Maui Weekly Website is a nice way to keep up with our weekly broadcasts.)

BIG mahalo to KAOI Radio for all their support of the little radio show that could, and of course the Maui Weekly for supplying this blog space and all the great community news and features for us to deliver to Maui listeners. And The Weekly Dish wouldn't exist without our wonderful sponsors, including 808 Deli, Stella Blues Cafe, Ambrosia Martini Lounge, Body Alive Yoga and Movement Studio, Wailuku Coffee Company and Three's Bar & Grill.

Thanks everyone for digging into The Weekly Dish-a delightful recipe for Maui's community and entertainment news. Keep it real Maui. Aloha!
