Habitat for Humanity will be the beneficiary of this year’s Hammer Time Maui Event, which will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 6 to 11 p.m. at the King Kamehameha Country Club in Waikapu. Sponsored by Hammer Magazine, the event will feature Master of Ceremonies Augie T and a male pageant with the winner being crowned “Mr. Hammer.” There will also be live, local entertainment, dancing and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity Maui. Tickets are on sale now for $25 by calling Habitat for Humanity Maui at (808) 893-0334.

“We are grateful for Hammer Magazine’s selection of Habitat for Humanity Maui as the beneficiary of the proceeds from this event. We look forward to a prosperous event [and] we are thrilled that Hammer Magazine is helping us in our commitment to Maui families and their dream of homeownership,” said Development Director of Habitat for Humanity Maui Melissa Mauliola.

Habitat for Humanity Maui, a nonprofit ecumenical, Christian housing ministry, was founded in 1997. Its mission is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness on Maui by building simple, decent homes in partnership with families in need. Habitat for Humanity Maui is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, the nation’s 18th-largest homebuilder in the nation.
