Maui’s visitors and residents enjoyed dancing, drumming by Kahului’s Maui Taiko, music and ono food at the Obon celebration at Azeka Shopping Center in Kïhei on Saturday, Aug. 29. Throughout the summer, a variety of missions celebrated Obon season, honoring the departed (deceased) spirits of beloved ancestors.
