Glossy Paper Now Recycled

Aloha Recycling in Kahului, a redemption and recycling center for HI 5 containers, newspaper, cardboard, aluminum, plastic, glass and bi-metal drink containers, now accepts office paper, magazines and catalogues. Aloha Recycling is the first recycler on the Maui to accept glossy paper.

In partnership with Aloha Recycling, Aloha Waste Systems and Maui Recycling Service now offer business clients recycling pickup that includes office paper, magazines and catalogues.

“In fours days since the announcement, people have already brought in 420 pounds of magazines,” said Sherri Pell, manager of Aloha Recycling. “There is definitely a need for this service.”

Aloha Recycling is located at 75 Amala Place in Kahului, directly across from VIP Foodservice Cash ’n Carry Warehouse. Hours of operation are Mondays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
