November 19, 2009
Maui Weekly
The Holoholo Ka‘a - Let’s Go Cruising fundraiser held in the Home Depot parking lot in Kahului on Sunday, Nov. 8, delighted 800 kids, including Tesha Over and Nalaninuiakea Crozier, as well as kids-at-heart who climbed aboard vehicles of all types and sizes to honk horns and “interact” with the various vehicles. Keiki chose their favorites, including a Ferrari from Maui Off-Road, a limousine bus from Akina Tours, a monster truck from Maui Off-Road, and an HC&S cane hauler. The Pūnana Leo o Maui Hawaiian language immersion school raised almost $1,000 from this first-ever event.
