Alaska Airlines recently began new service between Oakland and Kahului, offering four flights a week. The airline is now also offering three weekly flights between Oakland and Kona on Hawai‘i Island. The Seattle-based airlines also recently made an announcement they will be providing nonstop flights from Sacramento to Maui, which will begin in March. When Aloha Airlines ceased operations at the airport in March 2008, it had become quite a hassle for travelers to get to Hawai‘i from Sacramento. Visit www.alaskaair.com.
