A team of five Maui High School students was awarded the top prize in the first annual Maui Young Business Roundtable (MYBR) High School Business Simulation Competition. Sponsored by Bank of Hawai‘i, the competition was held on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Maui Community College (MCC). In conjunction with the college’s Applied Business & Information Technology (ABIT) Baccalaureate Program, the competition gave teams of Maui County high school students an opportunity to test a range of business skills, including managing their own corporation using a computer simulation format. MYBR is a social networking group for young business professionals who live and work in Maui County. For more information about Maui Young Business Roundtable, visit
