The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, April 3, at Makawao Union Church Hall, 1445 Baldwin Ave., from 10 am to 5 p.m.
The workshop panel consists of Maui’s notable experts: Ram Dass, renowned spiritual teacher, best-selling author and visionary/advocate for compassionate end-of-life caregiving for over 40 years, will be joined by Hospice Maui’s Clinical Director Eve-Lynn Civerolo RN-CHPN, Patient Care Coordinator Gitti Crespo-Wolf, Psychotherapist Prakash Mackay and Doorway Into Light Director Bodhi Be.
The workshop will focus on discussions, insights and practices concerning the transpersonal experiences and development that can take place with those who are in the process of dying and the people caring for them.
Doorway Into Light has hosted/sponsored this series since its inception in 2006. These educational programs address such issues as end-of-life care, palliative options, green cemeteries, home funerals and grief counseling.
The workshop fee is $55 in advance or $65 at the door.
