Up to 60 teams are expected to compete in the popular event, including teams from restaurants, South Maui’s major resort hotels, real estate and construction firms and teams made up of family and friends.
The competition is open to both experienced and novice paddlers with divisions for men, women, mixed and keiki (18 and under).
Registration is $150 per six-person team and includes a free lunch for each racer.

The Kīhei Canoe Club will provide equipment and an experienced ho‘okele (steersperson) if needed.
Teams may also register at 8 a.m. on race day.
