Learn how to build your own renewable energy system and how to make your home more energy-efficient at a workshop on Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Participants will receive proven, practical knowledge about setting up photovoltaic solar panels and wiring them to produce power.
Learn about various types of wind turbines and how Maui can become energy independent. Tour an independent solar power system and an operational solar oven.
The class is $125, or $100 if pre-paid. The class is held in the Ha‘ikü area and attendees are invited to bring a lunch and a swimsuit.
