Unique, interesting and very, very gently used items are being requested from the community for the Hospice Maui Garage Sale on Saturday, May 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hospice Maui, 400 Mahalani Street in Wailuku.
This is not your typical rummage or garage sale. Hospice Maui is asking that each contributor bring in just one fine item that may have been purchased or received as a gift, but got but stuck in a closet or drawer because it just didn’t fit or fit in. Or bring in something that was used just very, very gently and still looks or operates like new. These could make wonderful gifts for Mother’s Day, on Sunday, May 9.
This like-new merchandise can run the gamut from home décor, artwork, jewelry, electronics, toys, clothing, kitchen accessories and tools to furniture and more.
Hospice personnel are asking that customers not bring in bags full of clothing and other articles, but that they limit contributions to only one or two like-new items that can easily be resold.
The sale will feature these donations at very reasonable prices, so both Hospice Maui and the community benefit.
Items will be accepted at Hospice Maui from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, and Monday through Thursday, May 3 through 6, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
