Aloha Recycling supports the community with a program which allows residents to donate all or part of their HI-5 deposit refund to the nonprofit of their choice. Items marked redeemable for HI-5 deposit include aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles and bi-metal drink containers.
Along with redeemable marked HI-5 items, Aloha Recycling also accepts No. 2 plastic bottles and colored plastic (milk jugs, laundry detergent bottles, etc.), No. 1 non-HI-5 plastic, aluminum cans, non-HI-5 glass bottles and jars, rinsed food cans, clean plastic bags, cardboard, white, and colored office paper and magazines.
Recycling saves energy, natural resources and landfill space. By recycling what we can, we help the environment and save the land for future generations. So bring your recyclables to Aloha Recycling and donate your HI-5 deposit refund to Community Work Day Program.
Aloha Recycling, located at 75 Amala Place in Kahului, is open Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
