Deadline for Maui County Green Book is Sept. 3

August 27, 2010
The Maui Weekly

The County of Maui has once again teamed with Haynes Publishing Company of Wailuku to publish a second edition of the Maui County Green Book—a directory of businesses providing sustainable goods and services to the residents of Maui County. Scheduled for publication on Nov. 1, the winter edition of the Maui County Green Book will add more listings and features to help island residents learn more about sustainability and going green.

Companies that would like to be recognized for their eco-friendly products and/or services are invited to submit their application for a free business listing online at www.mauicountygreenbook.com. Forms may also be downloaded from the Website and faxed to (808) 242-8339.

Applications must be submitted by Sept. 3.

To learn more about the Maui County Green Book, visit www.mauicountygreenbook.com.

An online version of the Maui County Green Book will be available as an interactive directory in November. Searchable and sortable, the directory will feature alphabetical and hierarchical indexing, geo-tagging, image and video capabilities and more. As with the print edition, online listings are free. Web links, images, company logos and video may be added for a nominal fee.

The online Maui County Green Book is also easy to update. Businesses and companies that qualify as “green” may add their listings to the directory at any time (new companies will be screened for accuracy of information prior to posting).

Adding convenience to availability, the digital edition of the printed Maui County Green Book is accessible anywhere there is Web access. This edition can be emailed, printed, and made into a PDF.

Business listings included in the print directory will automatically include a link to either a company Website or email address. The full digital edition of the Maui County Green Book will be permanently archived on Haynes Publishing’s Maui No Ka ‘Oi Website.
