9th Life thanks volunteers

January 6, 2011
Phyllis Tavares

Space does not allow listing all the volunteers we would like to mention, so instead, we would like to thank people by categories.

A big mahalo goes to the vets who came all the way from the Czech Republic and who will be returning in February to help us hold another mass spay/neuter clinic. A huge mahalo also goes out to all the transporters, vet techs, vet tech assistants, food preparers and servers, people who helped with recovery post surgery, tattooists and the clean-up crew. You all did a great job!

We would especially like to mention Doris Pompillio, who organized the transporters and all the rest of the volunteers. A big mahalo to Lynn Solu and Kīhei Rent a Car for providing a huge van which Lynn drove most of the clinic days. We would also like to thank Joan Pie for organizing the surgery shifts and Mary Pence for helping the vets immensely.

Thank you for all your aloha. It was a very successful spay/neuter clinic—304 cats will not be making any more babies. Mahalo.
