This is not an “Act of God” but negligence from the county to create holding ponds for this type of debris, mess, mud, pesticides, tires, brush and dead animals coming down the Kula Gulch—do not turn a blind eye on this as the county is doing.
The Kula Gulch has not been addressed. Everything ends in a small gully on the other side of Kīhei Road next to Mā‘alaea Surf, unable to direct the flow to the ocean. Now lies a sea of mud and debris—breeding grounds for disease.
Why would the county want this mess to end there anyway? Where is the EPA (Environmental Protection Assessment)?
The county may help clean the streets but not the gullies!
