January 27, 2011
Angela Smith

I want to give special mention to those who freely gave of their talents. They are: The Cultural Branch of the Kïhei Canoe Club, Maui Nui O Kama, Kumu Hula Auntie Doll and her Gracious Ladies, guest speaker Carolyn Golojuch (who spoke on “Holding On To the Dream - Safe Schools for All),” the Kaleidoscope Kids Hawai‘i - Rainbow Children’s Choir under the leadership of vocalist Dominique Ashanti-Dubois, Hawaiian National speaker Riki Torres-Pestana, vocalist Bridget Coopert Curtis Williams and vocalist Axil Kollist.

Mahalo to the County of Maui, the Maui Police Department and GP Road Solutions for their input, making it a safe, enjoyable march for nearly 250-plus Maui residents.

Mahalo nui loa to the African American Heritage Foundation of Maui membership for their unfailing support and dedication in perpetuating the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
