Rotary Club to Host Whale Watch/Snorkel Trip for Youth Programs

Proceeds from this fundraising event will be used for the Rotary club’s community service projects for the youth of Maui County.

All equipment will be provided, including snorkel gear, sport-fishing gear, waterslide, boogie boards and glass-bottom viewing aboard the vessel. While spending the afternoon snorkeling and water sliding, the crew will prepare a fabulous barbecue which feature hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, chicken breasts, cookies, soft drinks, beer and wine.

Musical entertainment will be provided by deejay “Dr. Love.” The cost of the excursion is $55 for adults and $45 for children 12 years and younger. Tickets must be purchased in advance of the date of the trip.

Youth projects sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kīhei Sunrise include donations of dictionaries for fourth-grade students at two local schools, the purchase of educational materials for Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary programs, and ethics and literacy workshops for third-grade students at two local schools.
