MHS staff spread the word about Hope, her wonderful personality, and her need for surgery. Thanks to an amazing response from supporters, more than enough donations were received to pay for the surgery. Hope’s recovery was swift, and soon she was running around and playing with other dogs!
The additional funds raised did not go to waste. The “Hope Fund” was created, born from Hope and her inspiration, specifically to help orphaned animals who arrive at our shelter in need of special medical care or costly surgery. Since its inception last year, the Hope Fund has enabled MHS to help nearly two dozen homeless pets who might not otherwise have survived.
Many pets arrive on our doorstep suffering from injury, illness, abuse, or neglect. Contributing to the MHS Hope Fund is a great way to offer these precious animals with “special needs” the 2nd chance they so richly deserve!
