Maui Weekly

Aveda, passionate about water quality and forest restoration, is urging clients to make a donation in the Sierra Club’s name to promote the Sierra Club Maui Group’s ongoing projects.

Aveda clients are able to donate to the Sierra Club at their next visit to the salon and may also take part in an organized outing that focuses on native forest restoration on “Nature Walk with Art Meideros.”

Outings are scheduled for April 30 and May 21. Trip dates are subject to change, and details will be made available as trips approach. Participants must have boots with ankle support, expect a full day of physical work in rough and steep terrain, and bring lunch, water, and sun and rain protection. Tools and gloves are provided. Reservations are mandatory. Call 573-8989 or email auwahi@yahoo.com to reserve a spot.

Check www.auwahi.org for a full listing of proposed 2011 trip dates and details. Call Sierra Club Maui Group contact Lance Holter at 283-1056 or holter@maui.net for more information.
