Our Field Operations officers undergo intensive national training from the Law Enforcement Training Institute under the University of Missouri. Nationa l Cruelty Investigation training, part of the above program, consists of three levels, each requiring approximately 40 hours of training. Completion of all three levels is a tremendous accomplishment, often taking years to achieve. Last week, MHS’s Director of Field Operations, Officer Martin Davis, completed his third level, earning his certification as a Cruelty Investigator, a highly respected designation in the Animal Welfare field. Three other MHS officers have completed two levels of training, another great achievement. We are proud of these dedicated staff members. Next time you see one of our officers in the community, please take a moment to thank them for the critical—and difficult--job they do. And if you ever believe an animal is being mistreated, call MHS at 877-3680 ext 29. The “white truck” will be on the road to help.
