Learn how easy it is to compost your yard clippings, junk mail, kitchen waste and mixed paper at a workshop for beginners on Saturday, May 14, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the MOA center, 164 Kamehameha Ave. in Kahului.
Replenish the Earth by making compost from what you already have available. Composting not only saves landfill space, but also serves as a great growth stimulant for your garden.
Worms will be in attendance at this workshop and the virtues of vermicomposting will be addressed. Worms can eat your food waste and junk mail and create the best soil amendment available.
The class fee is $10. Register by calling Wilma Nakamura at 573-3911.
