Keys, co-owner of Pā‘ia Mercantile and Birken & Bailey’s TOO, said the family is holding a walk-a-thon on Saturday, May 21, at Lincoln Center in Stockton, California, in Cody’s honor with proceeds going to help fight brain cancer.
“He has a wonderful family—his fiancé, her 3-year-old daughter and the first grandchild of the family, a 1-year-old boy named Kaimbryn,” said Keys. “Tax-deductible donations of gift certificates, artworks or cash, anything would be greatly appreciated.”
Email Keys at paiamanager@yahoo.com or birkenandbaileys@yahoo.com as soon as possible with your donation. “Then we will have time to list it (over $100) on our banner, brochures and flyers,” added Keys.
Donations can be mailed directly to “Cody 4 Life,” 8859 Little Oaks Way, Stockton, CA 96209. Donations can also be taken to Pä‘ia Mercantile and Birken & Bailey’s TOO in Kīhei.
Cody has volunteered to be a part of a clinical study at the University of San Francisco to help future generations fight this disease.
