On Aug. 25, Lauren Roth of Roth Ecological Design on O‘ahu will discuss water systems designed to conserve water and save money. With water availability a constant concern on Maui, Roth’s expertise is very relevant to area businesses.
On Sept. 15, Shanah Trevenna, founder of Sustainable Saunders at UH Mānoa and recently named one of the five people who will change Hawai‘i in the next 50 years by Hawai‘i Business magazine, will present the results her organization has achieved on the UH campus, with direct applicability for energy efficiency strategies for Maui businesses.
John Harder, an independent environmental services provider on Kaua‘i, will present on Oct. 27. Harder is well versed in zero waste and will explain this concept and how Maui’s businesses can reduce their waste streams while saving money.
