The Art of Peter Max Gallery opens in Wailea

The Shops at Wailea last week welcomed its newest addition, The Art of Peter Max Gallery. The 1,225-square-foot gallery, one of only two in the world exclusively dedicated to the artwork of renowned artist Peter Max, will be curated by the artist himself. In celebration of the opening, Max created a new installation of original acrylic paintings that will be unveiled at the Wailea gallery. The collection includes the artist’s Maui Series, which depicts scenic images of Maui wrapped in the kaleidoscope of vivid colors that are unmistakably Peter Max. This rare series is now available exclusively at The Art of Peter Max in The Shops at Wailea. Max was recently honored at the Jefferson Awards with an award for his lifetime dedication to America and its charitable causes. Max’s remarkable legacy and artwork is the subject of a book, The Art of Peter Max. A copy of this book will be given to customers who purchase an original painting from the new Wailea gallery.
