Windermere Valley Isle Properties at The Shops at Wailea invite the public to a fundraiser for its Windermere Foundation on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 5 to 9 p.m.
This heartfelt and exciting event will kick off the holiday season by giving first to those in need.
Leslie-Ann Yokouchi, owner and Principal Broker of Windermere Valley Isle Properties, said the mission of the foundation is to directly help the families and children in need on the Maui. What's raised on Maui, stays on Maui!
The evening will start with a Champagne Reception and pupu at Windermere's Wailea office. The event will include wonderful live entertainment, an incredible silent auction (with items from Louis Vuitton and Tiffany, just to name a few), St. John fashion show, and a fabulous grand prize drawing for 150,000 miles on Hawaiian Airlines.
The passion of Yokouchi-and her business-is giving back to the community. Her company's motto is, "If home is where the heart is, then the community is where you find our souls."
Leslie-Ann's father, Pundy, was involved in many of Maui's nonprofits. His lasting legacy to the community is the landmark Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Leslie Ann credits her father for instilling in her the importance of taking action and giving back to create a strong community.
"If we all get together and help out, every bit adds up!" said Broker and Windermere Foundation Director Sherry Llanes. "Particularly because our island is small, the giving can have an exponential affect on the quality of life here."
"I really hope our residents and tourists come out and support each other in true aloha spirit" said Leslie- Ann.
So stop by, start your holiday shopping and feel good that your contribution matters and makes a profound difference!
