It's a sure sign the holiday season is fast approaching-the Rotary Club of Kahului's famous annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser Program is now officially underway.
"Maui's best and freshest trees are imported from a small Oregon family farm each year by Kahului Rotary," said Program Chair Leslie Mullens.
These premium, sheared Christmas trees may be reserved in advance and picked up in early December. Prices range from $70 for a 6- to 8-foot Douglas Fir to $85 for a 6- to 8-foot Noble Fir. The club also carries 11- to 13-foot Noble Firs, aka the "Ceiling Scraper" for $225.
The Christmas Tree Fundraiser Program benefits Kahului Rotary's high-impact Maui community service projects. Many returning customers also choose a Rotary Christmas tree to gift Maui's homeless shelters, nonprofit organizations, churches and schools.
The deadline for orders is Tuesday, Nov. 1. Supplies are limited and the shipment normally sells out.
