A free legal education seminar covering ethical considerations for attorneys advising Sunshine Law boards and obligations under the Uniform Information Practices Act will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, in Wailuku. The seminar, presented by staff attorney Jennifer Brooks of the state Office of Information Practices, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Maui County Department of Corporation Counsel conference room, 200 S. High St. in Wailuku.
One course, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., will cover government attorneys' obligations regarding open records requirements of the Uniform Information Practices Act. From 11 a.m. to noon, another course will cover ethical considerations for counsel when advising Sunshine Law boards.
