The Maui Weekly

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea will host the 22nd Annual Day of Hope 10K Run/5K Walk on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 7 a.m. along scenic Wailea Alanui. The event is a benefit for the American Cancer Society's Maui Unit and the Pacific Cancer Institute of Maui, which offers cancer services and patient care in Hawai'i.

Master of Ceremonies Howard Dashefsky, Emmy award-winning producer and host of Sports People Hawai'i, will preside over the morning events.

Other activities include a Keiki Dash on Wailea Beach immediately following the run/walk, and Locks of Love will be on-hand to lop off pony tails that are 10 inches or longer, which will be made into hairpieces and wigs for children going through cancer treatments.
