November 3, 2011
The Maui Weekly

On Friday, Nov. 4, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) will present an evening of romantic soul with heartthrob recording artist Brian McKnight in Castle Theater.

In addition to his talents as a singer, songwriter and producer, McKnight is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar, bass, drums, percussions, trombone, tuba, flugelhorn and trumpet. He has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.

Brian has crossed the boundaries of every medium. He hosted "Soul Session Countdown with Brian McKnight" on BET. In addition, "The Brian McKnight Morning Show" on KTWV's smooth jazz station was rated in the top five two years running. In 2009, Brian started hosting his own syndicated radio show, which ran in over 60 markets through ABC Radio. Brian also hosted his own nationally syndicated TV show, "The Brian McKnight Show." And in 2007, he stepped into Broadway with a successful run as Billy Flynn in "Chicago."
