Once again, I emphatically urge the Charter Commission to place the question of district voting on the ballot for the citizens of Maui County to decide.
From the coverage of this issue, I have seen in the media it is obvious that the commission, as a group, is not in step with the community at-large on this issue. This is no longer the "good ol' plantation days," when a few decide what is best for the rest of us.
The ideal of one man equals one vote should be made available to the citizenship.
This issue must be put to a vote of the people.
