Maui cyclists have the opportunity to test their fitness during the Maui Century Ride on Sunday, Nov. 20.
Riders should note that this is not a race. Bikers must obey all the laws and rules of the road. There will be no road closures or regulation of traffic.
Although aid stations throughout the course will provide water and fruit, and roving mechanics will be available, riders should be prepared to do their own repairs and come equipped with water bottles and their own supplies. Mechanics will also be available by cell phone.
A post-ride barbecue will be held at Maluaka Beach Park.
The event, sponsored by and benefiting The Maui Bicycle Club, has been held on Maui for over 30 years in some form. The main event sponsor for the last 15 years has been South Maui Bicycles.
