The Associated Press - Los Angeles investigators revisiting the drowning death of Natalie Wood will be coming to O'ahu in December. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported last week that the owner of the yacht where the actress was last seen alive is expecting the arrival of Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives the first week of December. Ron Nelson, who purchased the Splendour 25 years ago at auction, says authorities called him weeks ago about examining the 60-foot boat.
Nelson has spent the last several years restoring the vessel and had been preparing to use it for a charter business. This month marks 30 years since Wood died while on a trip to Catalina Island with her actor-husband, Robert Wagner, and actor Christopher Walken. Authorities do not consider either man a suspect in her death.
