The Maui Police Department is collecting cans of SPAM to create a "Great Wall of SPAM" at the Wailuku station. The canned meat will be donated to a local charity.
Police are hoping to collect 770 cans of the 12-ounce regular "blue" Hormel SPAM.
Residents can drop off donations of SPAM at the Wailuku Police Station or at the ninth-floor Mayor's Office in the Kalana O Maui Building. For more information, contact officer Dennis Clifton or Lisa Tomita at the Community Relations Section at 244-6380.
