Treecycling Offered After the Holidays

December 22, 2011
The Maui Weekly

The Recycle Maui County section of the Department of Environmental Management would like to notify the community about the many different "treecycling" options available this holiday season.

The drop-off tree recycling sites are free unless otherwise noted. If no date is listed it means the sites have ongoing recycling operations.

All tree recycling locations require removal of all ornaments, lights, hooks, tinsel and other inorganic matter from the tree before recycling them. Flocked trees cannot be accepted at any locations.

For more recycling information, call the Recycle Maui County Hotline at 270-7880. Lana'i and Moloka'i residents can call at (800) 272-0125 and (800) 272-0117 (toll-free) respectively and ask to be transferred to ext. 7880.
