Kick Off the New Year With “Eat Healthy” Classes

Down to Earth offers special cooking classes, demo and sampling.

This January, Down to Earth will kick off the New Year with a month-long "Eat Healthy" program that promotes and supports New Year's resolutions to improve health with a vegetarian diet.

Vegetarian Chef Jessica Oshier will present "Vegetarian Solutions to Better Health" cooking classes on Tuesday nights from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Classes will provide educational materials, practical tips, recipes, cooking demonstrations and free samples. Recipes will focus on plant-based proteins, greens, whole grains and raw foods. Chefs will also discuss the importance of organic and natural foods.

An in-store smoothie de-monstration is scheduled for noon on Thursday, Jan. 12.
