Grease is Still the Word

Maui OnStage, the theater company that brought you last season's sold-out productions of "Cats" and "Chicago," is proud to present the timeless American classic "Grease" from Feb. 24 through March 11. "Grease" is still the word!

The countdown to "Grease" starts with a free screening at 8 p.m. at the Wailuku First Friday Feb. 3 party, when the audience will be encouraged sing along to the classic 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Donations are welcomed.
Costumed cast members from the upcoming production will be on-hand and discounted tickets to Maui OnStage's production will be available to those in attendance.
The musical is directed by New York guest director/choreographer Brian Swasey, whose previous credits include performing with Cathy Rigby in "Peter Pan," directing Maui OnStage's "Annie," choreographing a NYC production of "A Chorus Line," as well directing as numerous other NYC productions.
Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. at the Historic 'Iao Theater in Wailuku, 68 N. Market Street.
"Grease" is rated PG-13 and may not be appropriate for children.
Tickets are $40, $22 and $15. Dinner packages are available with Cafe O'Lei and Bistro Casanova.
