Upcountry Sustainability will present a Maui Re-use Forum on Tuesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in the Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani (on the makai side of the building).
The forum will offer an opportunity to learn about existing re-use programs and discuss what more can be done on Maui to collect and make use of discarded materials.
Leaders in Maui's re-use community will discuss what they offer, what they wish they could offer, and what Maui needs in order to make the most of re-usable materials.
Panelists will include Rae Chandler of the Community Work Day Program; Karen Moto'oka of the Habitat for Humanity Maui's ReStore; Marty McMahon, e-cycling coordinator for the Restore; Kristy Damico of Savers Maui, Jacqueline Ambrose of Aloha Shares, Joy Webster of Remade Maui and Jerry Isdale of Maui Makers.
If you'd like to see waste turned into resource, come ask questions and share your ideas. This event is free and open to the public.
